Developers of old industrial sites decry end of Clean Ohio grants

Hundreds of apartments are rising on the former Jeffrey Mining site in Italian Village, an area cleaned up with the help of a Clean Ohio grant.
No developer in the Columbus area has benefited from grants from the former Clean Ohio program to redevelop old industrial sites as much as Wagenbrenner Development.

The company's projects that received grants include the homes at the old A.C. Humko site in Harrison West, the hundreds of apartments rising on the former Jeffrey Mining site in Italian Village and the $36.5 million Rogue Fitness manufacturing plant being built on the former Timken Co. site at Cleveland and East 5th avenues.
