Questions left unanswered after DNR public hearing on TCE

Roughly 100 Camdenton residents stood shoulder to shoulder after all the chairs filled on the second floor of the Mid County Fire Protection District building for a public presentation by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources in regards to trichloroethane (TCE) exposure and contamination on and near the old Modine facility.

“What type of concerns should I have being a 40-year employee there? I actually had full-time contact, I was a degreaser operator, and I think I can speak for the employees in this room, you have no idea how TCE was used,” one man asked the representatives from DNR. “Should we have concerns?
