Efforts focus on breathing new life into brownfield sites in eastern Lake County By David Glasier News-Herald (OH) June 7, 2016 Progress continues to be made at the former Coe Manufacturing site and other brownfield projects in Painesville and nearby communities. Brownfield is the widely applied term referring to land and structures on property previously used for industrial or commercial purposes which are determined to have been contaminated with hazardous waste or pollution.
