Brownfield help sought for developer By Dean Cousino Monroe News (MI) June 17. 2016 Frenchtown Township could set up its own brownfield authority or partner with an existing one in Wayne County to finance cleanup of a gasoline leak at the site for a planned 90-room Marriott Inn. A brownfield redevelopment authority is being considered to help a local developer resolve an environmental issue with construction of a 90-room Marriott Inn and restaurant in Frenchtown Township. Supervisor Jim McDevitt said he would meet next week with Bill Patel, owner of the 6.5-acre site at the northeast corner of I-75 and N. Dixie Hwy. to discuss the brownfield option.
