$7.9M for 14 towns' brownfield cleanup

Fourteen Connecticut communities - including Hartford - have qualified for $7.9 million in state grants to assess and remediate 187 acres of brownfield sites within their borders into developable acreage, state authorities say.

The funding comes from the state Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD).
