Remedy proposed for Walden brownfield site contamination Mid-Hudson News (NY) July 30, 2016 WALDEN – A 1.5-acre site dating back to industrial uses in the mid-1800s will remediated once the state Department of Environmental Conservation signs off on a cleanup plan. The former Packaged Lighting site property at 29 Grant Street in the Village of Walden has been found to contain chlorinated volatile organic compounds in soil and groundwater above standards.
