Plant 7 cleanup expected to start in December EPA is covering $4 million cost By Ken de la Bastide Anderson Herald Bulletin (IN) September 7, 2016 ANDERSON - The cleanup of contaminated soil at the former General Motors Plant 7 site on the city's east side is expected to start by the end of the year, officials said Wednesday. The Anderson Redevelopment Commission approved a $4 million contract with TerraTherm for work at the former Delco Remy site, which is west of the now under construction Italpollina plant in the Scatterfield West area. Gary McKinney, Brownfields specialist for the Economic Development Department, said the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will cover the costs of the cleanup. ...
