Watermark Center plans at old Shaw Walker topic of public hearing By Lynn Moore MLive (MI) January 9, 2017 MUSKEGON, MI - Owners of the old Shaw Walker factory building have two years to develop the sprawling complex into apartments and an entertainment complex, according to a new agreement before the city commission this week. The amendment to the city's Brownfield Plan calls for demolition to be completed by the end of 2017. The demolition activities, including abatement of such hazards as asbestos and lead, will be eligible for about $9 million in Brownfield reimbursements. A public hearing on the amendment to the plan will be held during the city commission meeting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10. Following the hearing, the commission will vote on the plan, which spells out development obligations for the building known as The Watermark. ...
