Hoosick Falls sees new environmental investigation Two toxins found near former Honeywell facility By Kenneth C. Crowe II Albany Times-Union February 9, 2017 Hoosick Falls - The state has directed Honeywell to investigate volatile organic compounds that have been found around the company's former plant on John Street. The state departments of Environmental Conservation and Health said Thursday they directed Honeywell to immediately conduct a study after the detection of volatile organic compounds (VOCS) — trichloroethylene (TCE) and 1,1,1-trichloroethane (111-TCA) — at the former John Street facility.
