Federal funds approved to boost cleanup during OKC's First National Center redevelopment by Steve Lackmeyer Oklahoman July 6, 2017 A federal brownfields loan of up to $2.5 million is being added to the mix of public assistance provided toward the $230 million redevelopment of First National Center into a hotel, housing, retail and parking garage. The agreement with developers Gary Brooks and Charlie Nicholas provides an initial loan of $1 million from the city's revolving brownfields loan fund, which is used to clean up site contamination. Up to $1.5 million can be added to the project as existing loans from the fund are paid off.
