Cleanup planned at Whitehall brownfield site by BILL TOSCANO Glens Falls Post-Star (NY) July 10, 2017 WHITEHALL - A development company based in New Jersey has applied to the state Department of Environmental Conservation to clean up and market a 11.49-acre brownfield site on Route 4 in the village. Poultney Street Partners LLC is seeking to clean up the former manufacturing site, which has groundwater and soil contamination. A formal plan has been filed with the DEC and specifies the plans for cleaning up the site, which was first developed in the early 1900s and used as a silk knitting mill until 1959.
