Pottstown eyeing contaminated land for park By Evan Brandt, Posstown Mercury (PA) September 19, 2017 POTTSTOWN - Borough council has voted to move ahead with acquiring land at 860 Cross St., which has chemical contamination in the soil and groundwater, for use as part of an expansion of Pollock Park. The property is roughly .86 acres and from 1971 until 1995 the property was a polyurethane sealant manufacturing plant, according to an environmental assessment of the property completed in July.
