Brownfield project plan alarms Alplaus residents Critics say hamlet's idyllic atmosphere is at risk from brownfield building project By Paul Nelson Laredo Morning Times September 25, 2017 Glenville - Sue Breslin got choked up and had to stop to compose herself as she reflected on her move from Latham to Alplaus three years ago. "I came for the water and the family," said Breslin, 69, a retired educator. "It's 20 miles from Latham and it's three decades (behind) the rest of the world right now.
