EPA: No health threat from Rickett’s site Testing to continue By Paul Post Saratogian (NY) January 30, 2018 BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. - Vapors from possible cancer-causing chemicals beneath the former Rickett’s Dry Cleaning site pose no health threat to nearby homes and businesses, officials say. Last February, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency collected air samples at 50 properties near Rickett’s, a former long-time family run business on Route 50 that closed in 2014.
