DEP to Hold Public Meeting and Hearing on Rose Valley TCE Investigation

WILLIAMSPORT – The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) will hold a public meeting and public hearing on Monday March 26, 2018, to discuss the investigation into water contamination in private water wells in Rose Valley, Gamble Township, Lycoming County.

Six homes were found to have water supply wells impacted by trichloroethylene (TCE) in concentrations of 1 part per billion (ppb) or greater. Impacted water users have been supplied with bottled water by DEP. For long-term protection of the residents, DEP will install activated carbon-based treatment systems at the six impacted homes.
