EPA awards $200,000 to Bessemer museum for cleanup BY PETER ROPER PUEBLO CHIEFTAIN (CO) April 29, 2018 The Bessemer Historical Society will be getting a $200,000 grant from the federal Environmental Protection Agency to help restore the old Colorado Fuel & Iron Administration Building. … Doug Gradisar, president of the Bessemer society, said the $200,000 grant will help pay for removing asbestos, lead and arsenic contamination on the 5-acre property where the old CF&I offices sit. That work is all part of the growing Steelworks Museum at that location.
