Former CTS site heating up, but one area proving harder to treat for TCE by Jennifer Emert WLOS TV-13 News (Asheville, NC) November 15th 2018 ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Thousands of pounds of a dangerous chemical have been removed from a Buncombe County Superfund site, but one area of the former CTS property is proving harder to treat. Just a few weeks ago, sampling showed the amount of TCE concentrations in the soil and groundwater have been reduced by 95 percent.
