Developer visions $125 million investment on vacant Ford assembly site in Wixom

The Oakland County Brownfield Redevelopment Authority has approved a brownfield plan that will allow for the environmental cleanup and redevelopment of a property once home to a Ford Motor Company assembly plant. 

Earlier this year, Chris Semarjian, owner of Cleveland-based Industrial Commercial Properties, purchased the 182-acre site, hich sits along Wixom Road just north of I-96, from Boston-based investor Trident Barrow. 

The developer, Detroit Wixom, LLC., a development entitiy of Industrial Commercial Properties, LLC., has preliminary site plans for the property including various large-scale manufacturing, technology, and distribution buildings with a total capital investment of $125 million. The entire project is expected to begin in next spring with completion by December 2021.
