EPA finishes work at former Tonawanda Coke site By Stephen T. Watson Buffalo News March 27, 2020 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced Friday that it has completed its work at the former Tonawanda Coke site and has handed oversight of the property over to New York State. The EPA began its response at the River Road property shortly after Tonawanda Coke shut down in October 2018.
