Court order results in forced closure of Compton's in Macon by John Garlock KTVO TV-3 News (MO, IA) August 10, 2020 MACON, Mo. - A federal judge has ordered a northeast Missouri business closed. The court order was handed down on July 31, 2020, for Compton's Furniture and More liquidation store in Macon, Missouri. .... He told KTVO Monday the ordered closing is related to trichloroethylene (TCE) contamination on and around the property. The contamination occurred when the facility was a Toastmaster small appliance manufacturing facility.
