Brownfield clean-up paves way for new Rosina plant in West Seneca

The state Department of Environmental Conservation said Rosina Foods has completed brownfield clean-up at its Clinton Street location in West Seneca. This paves the way for construction of a new $58-million-dollar food manufacturing plant on the 10-acre site.

The DEC said, from the early 1900s to the 1960s, the site at 3100 Clinton St. was used as railroad yards. The clean-up included nearly 46,000 tons of soil "that was grossly contaminated."
