Resources for Revitalization

Creating equitable, vibrant communities through redevelopment.

New! CA Equitable Community Revitalization Grant (ECRG) Opening Monday, November 1st!

California’s new, $200+ million Equitable Community Revitalization Grant (ECRG) program gives communities an unprecedented opportunity to address historic environmental injustices and set a new path for land use that will have immediate and lasting benefits. Public agencies, tribal organizations, and nonprofits in California are eligible to apply for this new funding. Visit the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) website for more information >>>

The Pre-Qualifying Application Round opens November 1st and will close on December 7, 2021. The application will be made available here. Watch for the initial launch of the Full Application in early January, which will be open for about 8 weeks.  Both the Pre-Qualifying Application and the Full Application are open to all and we encourage you to learn about the program and apply!

DTSC has a dedicated project team that is committed to the success of the ECRG program and its participants, because success means cleaner, healthier California communities. The ECRG program:
  • Has a streamlined application process.
  • Makes grants for eligible expenses up to $7 million.
  • Does not necessarily require property ownership to participate.
  • Focuses in environmental justice areas.
  • Supports applicants with free technical assistance and other expert guidance.
View this flyer with additional information on ECRG program timeline, application materials, and key contacts.
