Former CSX property near the city transit station to be cleaned up with brownfield funds Chillicothe Gazette November 28, 2024 COLUMBUS — Ross County is receiving $1 million to be used to help clean up the former CSX property. State Rep. Bob Peterson (R-Washington Court House) announced the recent funding which will go to the Ross County Land Reutilization Corporation from the Ohio Department of Development’s Brownfield Remediation Program. “This investment is a game-changer for Chillicothe,” said Peterson in a news release. “By transforming the former CSX property, we are building a brighter future that will bring new development.
