[CPEO-IRF] BRAC announcement Friday

The Department of Defense will hold a press briefing Friday, May 13, at 
10:30 a.m. EDT to announce Secretary Rumsfeld's recommendations for base 
realignment and closures (BRAC). The BRAC recommendation information 
will be available online at the conclusion of the briefing at the 
following Web site:  http://www.defenselink.mil/brac/ .

Details of the BRAC proposal will be delivered to members of Congress 
earlier on Friday morning. It's therefore likely that at least some of 
the information will filter out to the news media before the Pentagon 
press briefing.
