UGA has eye on Navy school site Team huddling on potential uses By Rebecca K. Quigley Athens Banner-Herald (GA) December 2, 2005 The University of Georgia Thursday confirmed its interest in the property being vacated by the U.S. Navy Supply Corps School. UGA President Michael Adams said Thursday that a university team is preparing a proposal for how the university would like to use the 58-acre property on Prince Avenue northwest of downtown Athens. University officials refused to say what plans they have for the property, only that they are in the research stages of a proposal. Adams said he would announce possible plans for the property during his annual State of the University address Jan. 12. ...
