Walter Reed adds $10M facility to treat amputeesby Prabha Natarajan Washington Business Journal July 26, 2006 A $10 million medical facility to treat amputees will be added to the Walter Reed Army Medical Center next year. Construction of the military amputee training center will start next month and is scheduled to be completed by October 2007. Walter Reed said it needed the new unit because of the influx of amputee patients from the nation's wars. ...
