Sac, Fox bowing out of picture?By DIANE KOMISKEY Prairie Advocate (IL) August 9, 2006 SAVANNA The doors of a closed Army depot are again swinging open to businesses interested in property at the south end of the military base. The doors could strike Native Americans on their way out of the campus area of the depot before they establish themselves in the region in far northwest Carroll County. "I think you have a duty to make that property available to others," said Phil Jensen, LRA attorney. Jensen said he believed the LRA had been very charitable in its relationship with the Sac and Fox. Five buildings and a former parade ground have been off the market since September 2005. They were held for the Sac and Fox Nation of Oklahoma.
