Sell-off of homes causing concerns By DENNIS HOEY Portland Press Herald (ME) February 28, 2007BRUNSWICK - The company that owns more than 700 units of military housing in the Brunswick area said on Tuesday that it plans to sell the homes when the Brunswick Naval Air Station closes in 2011. Mark Lavin, vice president of project management and development for GMH Military Housing, his company does not want to serve clients other than enlisted personnel and their families. He said GMH Military Housing plans to terminate its lease with the Navy -- GMH leases the land on which the homes stand -- and try to get fair market value for the 702 homes it owns in Brunswick and Topsham. ...
