College makes sure Williams name will go on

In the heat of battle over renaming Williams Gateway Airport, John 
Schroeder has been quietly working toward a truce.

His mission as a self-appointed volunteer is preserving the legacy of 
the airport's glorious history as a former Air Force base.

In the hallways of Chandler Gilbert Community College's airport campus 
where Schroeder is provost is an impressive exhibition of Williams Air 
Force Base memorabilia, a collection orchestrated by the educator.
