Freedom Field work to begin at Ravenna Arsenal Monday By Don Jovich Record-Courier (OH) September 27, 2007Starting Monday, field work at the Ravenna Arsenal will begin, after the work plan gained approval from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency Sept. 18. The Restoration Advisory Board meeting Wednesday at Freedom Township Hall focused on reviewing the Military Munitions Response Program, currently under way. "The cleanup is going generally as scheduled," said retired Lt. Col. Thomas Tadsen. The Ravenna Army Ammunition Plant continues to undergo environmental restoration by removing contaminated soils from the site. ...
