Subject: | Depleted Uranium Quote |
I was watching C-Span this morning(Monday) and there was a new general with Jamie Shea giving the NATO briefing. I believe the military man was German. One of the journalists asked if depleted uranium was being used in the bombing campaign. The general went into a straw man arguement how if the question were whether nuclear devices were being used, then no, no nuclear devices were being used. Then he sort of muttered at the end that there was no radioactivity associated with the depleted uranium being used. Is this correct that the depleted uranium is not radioactive? It did not seem to jive with what I remember from the Military Toxics Project literature I have reviewed. Steven Pollack |
