Preliminary Assessment of Munitions in San Diego Bay Primary ShipChannels

In 1997 the Navy discovered munitions in dredged material from San Diego
Bay, including eleven 20mm rounds, two 81mm rounds. This raised concern
that other munitions may be present in the bay.

The Navy recently posted the following fact sheet:  "Preliminary
Assessment of Munitions in San Diego Bay Primary Ship Channels and STENNIS
