Amazingly, the regulators and politicians claim that things are getting
cleaned up, the military agrees and adds that it is a partnership with the
public, and the few members of the public who are interested in the
process, the environmentalists, come onto this list and tell the same
stories month after month and year after year that all of this is not true.

Maybe Lenny could introduce this list to a few members of the media so that
they can monitor the public side of the debate.  It's not like the military
really contributes anything here anyways so I see nothing
lost in doing this.
