"From Cleanup to Stewardship" provides background information on the
Department of Energy's long-term stewardship obligations and activities.
The document examines the transition from cleanup to long-term stewardship
and it fulfills the Secretary's commitment to the President in the 1999
Performance Agreement to provide a companion report to the Department's
"Accelerating Cleanup: Paths to Closure" report.
