Hear Hear!  Admittedly, the U.S Government often does make mistakes and can
be slow at accepting blame for their actions.  However, everything I've
seen, read and heard indicates the Government acted appropriately, without
being abusive and applied the "correct amount" of force.

You comment on the need for responsible leadership is right on target. I for
one am inclined to take a diametrically opposite position from Robert on the
whole issue simply because of the lack of reason and inflammatory bull
Robert espouses with his rhetoric. Unfortuntely, that would put me in a
position similar to Robert in that I too would be part of the problem.

Perhaps the ultimate irony of the whole issue is that if it wasn't for the
training the Navy has done over the years, that in turn permitted the Armed
Forces of the U.S. to be victorious in WWII and the Cold War, we might all
be speaking Russian and people like Robert would not have the right to speak
their minds to bombast the government that makes it possible for people like
him to even exist!
