Subject: [CPEO-MEF] Greenpeace calls on Pacific Islands to oppose US storage of PCBs

The environmental group, Greenpeace has called on  Pacific Island Countries
to oppose plans by the United States to store dangerous  P-C-B's in the
Pacific region.

A statement by Greenpeace Pacific in the  Fiji capital, Suva, describes the
P-C-B's, or polychlorinated biphenyls, as  toxic waste from American
military bases in Japan, which have been refused entry  to the U-S, Canada
and Guam.
