[Original message from: "Terence Tsang" <theta@netvigator.com>] Hi, I'm working in the Environmental Protection Department of Hong Kong (China). I'm very impressed by the public participation during early planning stage. We are now developing IT initiatives in promoting public participation in the Environmental Impact Assessment process. I would like to know more about your process and should be grateful if you could pass me more details of the public participation process in your state. How would the comments collected affect the decision making? Would the responses to comments made available to the public? Thanks in advance for your kind assistance. Regards, Terence Tsang Senior Environmental Protection Officer Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, China ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You can find archived listserve messages on the CPEO website at http://www.cpeo.org/lists/index.html.
