WLOX-TV 13 (Mississippi) - May 29, 2000 Mother Says Camp Shelby Could Have Prevented Explosion The mother of one of the Perry County teens who was arrested for taking anti-tank shells from Camp Shelby says the military base could have prevented the tragedy. One boy died from his injuries and another is still in the hospital after the shells they were given by the Perry County teens exploded last week. Three Perry County boys have been arrested for taking the shells and giving them to the boys who were injured.
