Subject: | [CPEO-MEF] National Guard ranges |
Does anyone know how many Army impact ranges on closing bases have simply been transferred to the National Guard for use as impact ranges. It saves on remediation cost, but - as the Camp Shelby incident shows - it may continue or even increase the risk of a serious incident. I believe Ft. Hunter-Liggett (California) and Ft. Pickett (Virginia) are among those facilities.
