[This was posted to the list by a subscriber from one of the state agencies] Hello, Interesting. Can you give some examples of the safe alternatives to burning the vegatation before UXO removals? I have talked with the Army Corps of Engineers on this and they claim there are no viable alternatives, and this type of brush removal is the cleanest and safest method to allow EOD to get to the ordnance. Any other safer alternatives would be greatly appreciated. thanks ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You can find archived listserve messages on the CPEO website at http://www.cpeo.org/lists/index.html.
