Subject: | [CPEO-MEF] Lab reliability help! |
[This was posted to the list by Pat Malchow, borderlands@igc.org] Lab reliability help! How does one know if an environmental test lab is reliable or not? Are there any rating systems? After reading about the lab (Intertek) that falsified data on safety tests for more than 59,000 samples over 4 years in Texas, (http://www.nytimes.com/2000/09/22/national/22ENVI.html), our anxieties have increased. We are about to do air and soil sampling for beryllium oxide. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks! ***************************************** Pat Malchow, member of Sustainable Borderlands Planning, a non-profit corporation. 1309 E.
