Original message from Fenoy W. Butler <fenoy@olg.com> Please Reply to: <fenoy@olg.com> and/or <cpeo-military@igc.topica.com> Mr. Hugus: It is certainly not obvious to me that "in the deepest sense, the Pentagon is conducting a war on the biosphere." I was under the impression that DOD was and is, in the deepest sense, protecting us from the enemies of the United States. I would be curious to hear what you would consider to be an environmentally acceptable methods for "killing" an enemy tank or stopping an infantry division. Obviously, to be environmentally acceptable, these methods could not employ propellants, high explosives, or depleted uranium. What would you suggest DOD employ - harsh words perhaps? Remember - it is easy to take liberty for granted, when you have never had it taken from you. Fenoy Butler ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |
