Dear MEF Subscribers, As you may know a number of our publications such as the "Citizen's Report on the Military and the Environment" can be found on our web site in electronic form. We have many extra hard copies dating back to December 1994. CPEO also has a number of extra federal government publications and 1995 Military Cleanup Atlas Maps available to you at no cost. If you'd like one or more copies of the following publications please email your request to CPEO and include your name, address, and the number of copies you'd like, or you can contact us at 415-405-7751. 1) "Citizen's Report on the Military and the Environment" 1994-2000 2) "From Cleanup to Stewardship" US Department of Energy Office of Environmental Management October 1999 DOE/EM-0466 "From Cleanup to Stewardship" provides background information on the Department of Energy's long-term stewardship obligations and activities. The document examines the transition from cleanup to long-term stewardship and it fulfills the Secretary's commitment to the President in the 1999 Performance Agreement to provide a companion report to the Department's "Accelerating Cleanup: Paths to Closure" report. Chapter 1: The Nature of Long-Term Stewardship at DOE Sites Chapter 2: Anticipated Long-Term Stewardship at DOE sites Chapter 3: Planning for Long Term Stewardship 3)"Military Contamination and Cleanup Atlas for the United States - 1995." Based upon data from the Department of Defense, the 150-page Atlas contains tables and maps summarizing cleanup activity in all 50 states and four territorial areas - the District of Columbia, Guam, Pacific Islands, and Caribbean Islands.
