Interested In the Video of CPEO's Restoration Advisory Board workshop in 1994?

Getting On Board: A Training Workshop for Community Members of RABs, SSABs,
& TRCs 
May 13, 14, &15 1994

Getting on Board was the first workshop of its kind that focused 
specifically on the complex issues confronting citizen members of 
cleanup advisory boards at federal facilities. Organized by the Center for
Public Environmental Oversight, then known as CAREER/PRO, the workshop
brought together a diverse group of experts and activists in the area of
military base closure, clean up and conversion. This workshop addressed
issues such as: how clean-up decisions are made, an introduction to health
and technical issues, the relationship of environmental restoration to
economics, and the collection and dissemination of information. Though some
of the procedures and technologies facing advisory boards have changed,
this video remains an excellent introduction to the challenges of
overseeing federal cleanups.
