FALLBROOK ---- Rows of napalm-filled canisters and crates lining a dusty road
at the Naval Weapons Station are quickly becoming just a memory for those
working to remove the controversial Vietnam-era anti-personnel weapons. 

Navy contractors and industrial energy companies since 1998 have drained about
3.4 million gallons of napalm from the Fallbrook site. 
Now, just 3,000 of what was once an estimated 34,000 canisters of the
incendiary are left to be processed.
