Maybe someone else on this list knows more about the Orange County,
California water treatment plan, but it's my understanding that the
Water District is building a wellhead treatment plant to remove total
dissolved solids and trichloroethylene from the groundwater as it is
extracted for use. The Water District is responsible for removing the
solids, but the Navy (El Toro Marine Corps Air Station) is responsible
for the TCE.
