PROJECT DIRECTOR/FELLOW POSITION AVAILABLE

The Institute for Science & Interdisciplinary Studies (ISIS) is a
non-profit organization uniting scientists, citizens and social studiers
of science to improve how science operates in the world. ISIS's Military
Waste Cleanup Project works with citizens, citizen-scientists,
regulators and military officials to help communities affected by
military pollution achieve effective environmental cleanups. The project
is currently building the National Technical Experts Network (NTEN), a
collaborative project connecting scientists and knowledgeable citizens
working in affected communities. The Project Director/Fellow will build
this network and direct activities for the project as a whole.

Responsibilities include developing and maintaining a national network
of relationships with the citizens, citizen organizations, non-profit
organizations, and professors/scientists at educational institutions who
will join and execute the NTEN project. Other responsibilities include
organizing and coordinating public meetings and national-level
workshops, ensuring continued project funding, executing grant
administration tasks, and supervising project staff/interns.

The ideal candidate is a dynamic individual with a Masters degree (or
