[CPEO-MEF] Continuing Resolution Set to Come to House Floor

A two-week Continuing Resolution is scheduled to come to the House Floor 
today so that the federal government may remain open through October 
16th.  A Continuing Resolution allows funding to remain steady at current 
FY '01 levels while Congress acts on the FY '02 appropriations bills.  The 
House has indicated that an omnibus spending bill is NOT being considered 
at this time.

A Continuing Resolution is scheduled to come before the Senate prior to 
adjournment on Wednesday in observance of Yom Kippur.
