On Thursday, Norco officials and a state water board said they have asked the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the state Department of Toxic Substances to look into such a possible connection. There have been several cases of cancer and thyroid disorders among residents living near Wyle's property. Several residents, among whom some have had their thyroids removed for medical reasons, urged the Norco City Council on Wednesday to call for an investigation.
