RE: Posting by Stella To respond to your implied question, "No"! No one from the military has called us about accelerated soil and groundwater clean-up methods and alternatives. You know as well as I do that most people in the environmental industry are far more content using time-consuming (yes, decades-long) clean-up methodologies rather than significantly reducing costs and the time required to achieve site remediation. To quote an environmental consultant "friend" of mine after I had shown him that we could clean up a site in less than 3 years for about 20% of the total costs that were anticipated: "You mean that you want me to reduce my income from this project by 80%! You're crazy!" Never mind what the public, the client or the tax-payer wants. It seems that the last thing a consultant cleaning up a site wants to do is, guess what, "complete the project"! Louis B.
